Power query group by count rows

Thanks all, this helps a lot. One thing I'm confused about, in the case of all answers using SUMMARIZE, the argument to the summary function seems need the name of the table the summary is being performed on.

It meets my needs exactly, but is VERY clumsy - your solution is far more elegant (I had not yet learned about how to use "All Rows" in a Group column - but NOW I get it).
